Intermediate Instructor Development
This 40-hour course is the second level of instructor development. The pre-requisite for this course is a 40-hour basic instructor development certification. This course consists of 40-hour classroom training that will review adult learning theories, instructional design, icebreakers/energizers, generation gaps in training, motivating students, liability, and teaching effectiveness. This class is designed to certify participants as intermediate instructors. Within 6 months of completing the class, students are required to plan and conduct a 40-hour Basic Instructor Development course that will be audited by POST in order to receive their intermediate certification.
