SWAT Recommended Standards
This manual serves as recommended standards based on best practices discovered through a POST working group. The objective of this document was to establish a set of basic recommended standards for State of Nevada agencies who utilize tactical resources and to serve as an efficient core set of concepts and principles that improve standardization within the profession of tactical law enforcement services. Any implementation or adoption of standards should be reviewed and approved by the agency’s legal representation. POST provides these recommendations for reference and encourages agency input and adoption of standards that meet the individual agency needs.
